Chicago Avenue Skyscraper

The Chicago Avenue Skyscraper is an ambitious international competition project that redefines the city’s skyline. Positioned at the curve of the Chicago River, the site offers panoramic 360‑degree views extending to Lake Michigan. Strategically located at the intersection of the river, Michigan Avenue, and downtown Chicago, the development is envisioned as a landmark destination that strengthens the city’s commercial and cultural fabric. Designed to integrate public waterfront spaces with iconic architecture, the project aims to become one of Chicago’s most visited and admired urban landmarks, enhancing both the property’s value and the surrounding district.

Client Objective

The client’s vision is to establish the site as one of the most attractive and dynamic spaces in downtown Chicago. By creating a destination that draws both locals and visitors, the project seeks to amplify business and commercial activity along the north side of the river while elevating the prestige of the property and its surroundings.

Our Strategy

Our design strategy focuses on weaving continuous public spaces along the waterfront between the N. Wabash Avenue Bridge and the DuSable Bridge, with the skyscraper serving as the focal point of this urban path. The project enhances connectivity between the Chicago River, Michigan Avenue, and the Chicago Loop, creating a vibrant hub of activity. Architecturally, the tower is conceived to amplify Chicago’s timeless skyline while respecting its neighbors, delivering a landmark that embodies innovation, elegance, and the enduring brilliance of world‑class design.
